Showcase - Play In A Day (2019)
In 2019, A Stage Reborn hosted an innovative and exciting workshop titled "Play In A Day," a testament to our commitment to making theatre accessible and engaging through the use of modern technology and classic literature. This unique workshop was designed to introduce participants to the world of Shakespearean theatre, using the immersive platform of Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) to bring the Bard's work to life in a virtual setting.
The Essence of "Play In A Day"
"Play In A Day" was an intensive, four-hour workshop where participants were immersed in the world of Shakespeare. The chosen piece for this event was a short one-act play by Shakespeare, which provided the perfect introduction to his style and language. Our goal was to demystify Shakespearean theatre and make it approachable and enjoyable for all, regardless of their prior experience with Shakespeare or theatre in general.
The Workshop Experience
Participants in the workshop were given a crash course in various aspects of theatre production, including basic blocking, line delivery, and character development.
