To all our supporters,
For Years, A Stage Reborn has been known mainly for bringing the performing arts to a new stage inside of video games. I’ll be the first to admit, we have done some incredible things there, and have brought stage shows to life in new and exciting ways for our patrons. Today, we want to announce a new program from A Stage Reborn, something that doesn’t take place at all inside a video game at all. Now, we’re calling all singers, new and experienced alike to our new program, A Stage Reborn Sings!
A Stage Reborn Sings is a Virtual Choir program we intend to run like our popular acting theory workshops we’ve run in the past. We want to place focus not only on producing a recording of singers creating music, but we want to teach some of the history, music theory, and context around the music itself. Because of how iterative music learning is, we’re planning on having A Stage Reborn Sings work only on one song at a time, meeting once a week for 3-6 weeks, depending on progress.
Each week, we will teach a concept, and request recordings based on the work we did that week. Our musicians will work with these recordings to create demos each week of progress until we’re ready to share it with the world! We’d like to also announce the choral work to be performed by the Digital Choir – Mendelssohn’s “Oh for the Wings of a Dove”. We really hope you look forward to diving into this song with us!
As always, we are working to ensure that participation is free for participants, and we will be making all materials freely available (licensing permitting). There are no auditions needed for this program. Please sign up at https://ASR.to/sing. If you don’t know your voicing, please let us know when signing up and we’ll help you figure it out!
