A Stage Reborn is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation based in Washington state. We are a tax-exempt charitable organization with a focus on the arts, literature and education. The Legal Department.

The paralegal position is part of the Legal Department of A Stage Reborn. The Legal Department operates similarly to an Office of General Counsel, and duties include things such as: contract drafting, policy and bylaw compliance review, investigations, and providing advice to the Board and various A Stage Reborn officers.

What you would be doing.

The paralegal would be responsible for organizing documents of the Legal Department, managing the calendar of upcoming issues and assignments, providing legal research to the Department, and taking notes at Legal Meetings. Depending on experience and needs of the Department, the paralegal may receive some drafting work.

Position is capable of transitioning into an attorney position if applicant obtains a J.D. by an ABA accredited institution, passes the Bar, and is admitted by the highest court of any U.S. jurisdiction. WA Bar preferred. Non-attorneys are able to apply to other positions in A Stage Reborn and hold multiple positions at once, including Officer and Board positions.

Must have legal research experience. Law students welcome.

Preferred Qualifications.

Those with a background in or familiarity with IP, Copyright, Tax and Nonprofit law, Theatre, and/or online gaming are preferred.
